Sarasota-based property and casualty insurer FCCI Insurance Group (FCCI) has opened its fifth regional office in Richardson, Texas and will begin writing policies in Texas effective October 1, 2012.FCCI’s Southwest Regional Office team is in place and is being led by James L. (Jim) Harms, CPCU, CIC. Harms has more than 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, most recently as vice president of CNA’s Dallas branch.
“FCCI is a welcome addition to commercial property and casualty offerings in Texas,” says Harms. “Our office will be filling a need in the Southwest and doing it with the superior level of service FCCI is known for.”
FCCI is now contracting with agents in cities throughout Texas, initially focusing on the Dallas, Austin and San Antonio areas, and is conducting agency installations to help introduce agents to FCCI.
Texas is the 16th state in which FCCI writes business. Additional planned expansion states include Louisiana and Arkansas in 2013.
