Poet Evelyn Sue Clay comforts readers that they are not alone in this sojourn called “life”

LAS VEGAS (PRWEB) April 08, 2012

The topic of love will forever be relevant, ever present in popular culture, as seen in books such as Elizabeth Gilbert’s “Eat, Pray, Love,” to stage plays such as “Madea’s Big Happy Family,” starring Tyler Perry, Cassi Davis and Chaundra Currelley-Young. “Overflowing in the Spirit of Love, 29 Poems” (published by iUniverse) is a collection of inspirational prose written by poet Evelyn Sue Clay to uplift those who have been wearied by life’s trials and tribulations, and those who have lost their since of direction and thinks they may be alone.

Clay’s newest collection of poetry she says “speaks to anyone who has been tested or has experienced the test of life – in good ways and bad.”

Excerpt from the poem, “Friendship Gained”:

“We are two people whose lives were destined to cross.

Individually and alone, we each prayed for a helping hand.

But it was not until the crossroads of life’s challenges that we were joined.

This is when God revealed yet another perfect plan.

A life-long friendship is now at hand.

And far beyond belief has it grown.

Our friendship is valued twice as that of gold.”

Using her trademark additions of placing personal and inspirational quotes between each poem, Clay further inspires readers to seek and immerse themselves in the spirit of love.

“You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone.”
